Today marks Yom HaShoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day.  It’s a solemn day in which Jews around the world remember the horrors of the Holocaust but also share stories about family members who survived Hitler’s hellish camps.  A day to remember the atrocities perpetrated on the Jewish people.  It’s not a day of festivities or parties.  We don’t hoist a beer or toast to those who perished.  We simply remember.  But something else can be said about the somber day.  It’s a day to learn about the past so we can have a brighter future.  For if we forget to learn...
